I question some of your quotes because Perry does not have "kids", he has one child. You conveniently leave out many things, such as his promise that if anyone from the church goes to the hospital, someone WILL come visit them. He just says it won't be him. That would be like asking the CEO of Walmart to read all the comment cards. Also, the $1,500 paid for his sessions with other pastors is made out to the church and goes to their budget, not Noble's pockets.

[Aaron, thank you for your posted on BibleBeats where this article originally appeared. I am posting it here at the NewsBeats. Your extension in the logic adds insight to the fallacious bent of this proposition]

I find it hard to believe that any individual who has spent time studying the Bible, or even just 1 John, could come to the conclusion that Outer Darkness could mean anything other than complete separation from God. The motivation for coming up with an interpretation that says otherwise seems to be the creation of different degrees of salvation; which in practice translates into different paths to salvation. There are few heresies as damaging, and therefore as damning, as those which comfort the un-afflicted and justify the unrepentant. If all are equal in Christ here on earth, why would one expect to find something different when all is made perfect in Heaven? While there may be different rewards for different levels of service, there are no second tier citizens in Heaven, there are no untouchables, and God has no step-children.

Darrell,
Thank you for your kind words of concern. I have had much studying this fall, and hope to be back on the board soon. I should probably post something to this effect on my Announcement Page. Thanks again, and also for keeping up you interviews on you site, I enjoy them very much.

Yours in Christ,
