The Heartland Institute will be hosting the second International Conference on Climate Change in New York City March 8 – 10, 2009. Over 70 leading scientists are scheduled to confront the global warming theory with new research that contradicts it.1 Also invited to attend is geologist and former astronaut Harrison Schmitt who resigned from the Planetary Society after it blamed mankind for warming the planet. According to Schmitt, the “global warming scare is being used as a political tool to increase government control over American lives, incomes and decision making.”2 With perspective like that you’d think the guy stood on the moon and looked back; and he did.
