Obamacare In England: Ready America?
February 24th, 2010 by David Dansker
The Obamacare system currently in use in England shows patients routinely go without food and drink and bathing in hospitals due to budget constraints. Care Quality Commission and Health Department regulators report that as many as 1200 patients who died exceeded those expected from 2005 to 2008. This figure is probably based on records indicating the reasons for admissions, and what the probable outcomes should have been after treating those aliments in a hospital with reasonable standards of care. Obviously, those standards were far from met in a hospital where “some lay in soiled sheets that relatives had to take home to wash, others developed infections or had falls, occasionally fatal,” and where “the attitude of some nurses ‘left a lot to be desired’.”1 Thus far, 400 deaths as Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation have been attributed to substandard treatment described as “appalling” in the TimesOnline.2 Well, bad news first, now the good news. Everyone has access to Obamacare in England. Ready America?
