Phil Jones, Former director of climate research at University of East Anglia, has been suicidal over the reaction to his emails that were published showing his manipulation of data in order to support global warming theory.  Jones also lamented that he lacked public relations skill that could have helped him to weather the scandal.¹  No one in their right mind would wish Jones to take his life.  The only hope serious people have is that he would end his support for the failed theory of global warming.  It would be the honest thing to do.  And this word of advice: repentance will take you much further than PR skills.

Climate just won’t cooperate with global warming conspirators.  On top of all the other record breaking rain and snow, now a record storm is scheduled to hit the east coast and drop 30″ of snow in D.C. area alone.  The National Weather Service is warning of “extremely dangerous winter weather conditions” as they track possibly the biggest storm to hit the region since records were kept.¹  The president may not want to admit it, and the lying scientists are still lying, and Al Gore is still, well, Al Gore, but the informed man on the ground is redefining the term Cap-and-Trade to mean: make sure to wear a cap, and trade almost anything for a good snow shovel.

Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), is refusing to apologize.¹  The issue this time is a factual error in the Panel’s 2007 report claiming that the Himalayan glaciers were very likely to melt as a result of global warming by 2035.  It turns out the information cited in the report actually came from observations made by some hikers, and a school paper writing by a geography student.  Dr. Pachauri said he can’t be held responsible for every word in the 3,000 page report.  That’s alright.  Many of us are refusing to apologizing for correctly identifying global warming theory as nothing more than a socialist plan to redistribute wealth under false pretenses held together by conspiracies; because we’re not responsible for global warming.

News reports on climate change are now telling many what they already knew.  The decadal oscillation of ocean currents and other climate cycles have been naturally taking their course without any influence from mankind, and are now entering into to a period of global cooling.  This fact has put a chill on the excitement of some scientists who followed the evidence and not the party line.

When thinking back ten years ago to his work in the global warming campaign, scientist Dr. David Evans recounts: “It was great. We were working to save the planet.”¹   Since that time, Evans has been disabused of that euphoria as he has honestly faced the evidence that carbon emissions simply don’t cause the sort of warming governments are being told they do.  Not even close, for that matter.

According to Evens, “There is no evidence to support the idea that carbon emissions cause significant global warming. None.”²  He should know, he’s the scientist who authored the carbon accounting model for the Australian government, and today he is making the case against anthropogenic global warming conspiracy.

Perhaps other proponents of global warming that were only a few years ago so vociferous in accusing dissenters from the theory of being “deniers” for purely political and monetary reasons will also come forward and change their views to match the evidence.³  Or maybe they’re waiting for spring, it is pretty cold out there.

China is reportedly in the grip of global cooling.  Hail storms have killed 14 people thus far and injured 180, with more dangerous weather in the forecasts.  In Beijing, day literally turned to night as another storm lashed the city at about noon today.  The footnote that makes this story news?  This is June 16, 2009.
